House Still Standing

My artwork is a brick house. I made this house to express my heritage. These houses are common in inland SA (Adelaide hills, Hahndorf and the area around). This was a very German area and it's where my family comes from. I chose the name House Still Standing because even though the house was made like 100 years ago it still stands the test of time. To make this house I used water colour which gives it a bleeding look. I used a lot of techniques to make things look like they're in the distance. I wanted this artwork to show how diverse Australia is. It has so many cultures. I personally like my artwork. I think the house looks good - it looks like what I was trying to make but I would change the distant colour to blue instead of a bluey green. In this piece I learnt how to use water colour. I learnt a lot of new techniques.
