This piece is meant to represent the Australian environment and me affinity for Australia鈥檚 natural beauty. The composition consists of 7 photos and a page.
The 7 photos represent different Australian environments and cultures in a visual form and material entities, such as the Landcruiser/shotgun cartridges. the medium used was a phone camera. The image was then printed on paper and used I have tried to capture as much color as possible and use different techniques such as duch angles and close ups. I purposely choses to capture environments that represent the age of Australia, and her natural colors.
Capturing rust Is but one example. Each photo is of a location that hold some personal affection. These places are where I spent parts of my younger years and where I developed aspects that I have today. 4wding, shooting and other concerning parental choices made me who I am. The page in the middle represents that. Exploring the native environment, engaging in dangerous activities.
The name gidy images of knifes and military kit and song lyrics are directly meant to represent me personal identities. The mangroves and mountains express my willingness to venture into untamed land. This piece was constructed with water paints on paper. I have constructed it in such a way that it looks messy and free floating in a sense. This was done because I believe it is the best way to show such aspects of identity.
