Welcome Ahna Hawkett!
Welcome Ahna - wonderful to have you on the Howard Springs Campus team. Wishing you all the very best for your time at Good ÁñÁ«³ÉÈËappÏÂÔØ.
"G’day, my name is Ahna Hawkett and I am thrilled to be joining the amazing team at Good ÁñÁ«³ÉÈËappÏÂÔØ this year. I am stepping into the Sports Coordination role, working across all four campuses and taking on a teaching load in PHE and I&S in the Middle Years Programme.
I started teaching back in 2005 and have worked predominantly in Primary Schools. I was fortunate enough to win a position in Nhulunbuy, East Arnhem land for several years before having a short break from teaching to add motherhood to my resume. I returned to teaching and after a short stint focusing on Science and STEM, I was given the opportunity to work in an area where my passion really shines; the development of social, cognitive, emotional and physical identities and strengths through Physical Activity (also known as PE). I am super excited to be continuing my journey and building on my knowledge in this new setting.
Both of my wonderful girls have also moved across to Good ÁñÁ«³ÉÈËappÏÂÔØ this year and are enjoying making friends and exploring their new school.
Outside of work, I am very much family focused. We have large families on both my and my husbands’ sides and between them there are 22 children, so we spend plenty of time at birthday parties and family gatherings. My husband is Darwin born and bred and when we do have a spare minute you can find us fishing, hunting or working on our property.
Please don’t hesitate to stop and say hi if you see me out and about as I look forward to engaging in this amazing community."
